Some Thoughts About Writers of College Essays in Term PapersAfter a few years of working with and teaching students who are writing high school and college essays, I have come to the conclusion that there is more than one group of writers of college essays in term papers. And since a lot of people take this as an opportunity to complain about my teaching methods and my choices of words and phrases, I will address some of the complaints and some of the reasons for choosing particular words to use.There is no doubt that one of the first things that a good writer of college essays in term papers would do is write about a point that she wants to make. She has to find a subject that is very relevant to her own life experience. Often, when one feels disconnected from a topic, it's best to find one that you already understand, which is why it's very common to see writers in papers that do not mention anything about their area of expertise.These writers often spend the time reading what they want to say and finding the appropriate words to say it. Their goal is to be precise about the point that they are trying to make, so they look for all of the specific and concrete ways to do so.So a common student will spend most of his or her time when writing in these papers reading, listening to recommendations from friends and professors. Other students, however, would spend a greater amount of time actually composing the essay. And in my experience, it's these students who would resort to writing about their topic of interest the most often, because this is what they are most comfortable with.Writing can be a very complicated process, one that is full of problems and complexities. And it's true that a writer can become very frustrated with the process, especially if she isn't getting anywhere. One way to avoid such frustrations is to avoid focusing on your writing at all costs.Writers can focus on other things that are more interesting to them. They can read books that intere st them, watch movies that are going to interest them, or hang out with people who are more interested in spending time reading about what they do rather than about writing about it. This will allow them to not only find what they are looking for but also spend more time finding what they are interested in instead of going through the motions of trying to come up with what they have already found.And just remember: Your writing is one of the most important aspects of what you are doing as a writer of college essays in term papers. In fact, there is no way that you can give the students that you teach more value by making sure that they have fun while doing so. Since so many people are complaining about the way I choose to teach, I would just like to reiterate my belief that I have found to be the best way to approach this.
